A Crappy Blues - Tribute to Lifehouse

"You And Me"

What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

All of the things that I want to say just aren't coming out right
I'm tripping on words
You've got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

There's something about you now
I can't quite figure out
Everything she does is beautiful
Everything she does is right

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you
and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

What day is it?
And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive

Lifehouse
-You and Me-
“You know when you start to fall for someone but you’re not sure if they return the feeling?”

Am i bored today? You and Me, currently one of my favourite songs. I really recommend you'll listen to this song, really beautiful. Well here's a bit bout Lifehouse that i found out through their official website.

Lifehouse a rock band fronted by guitarist-singer, Jason Wade, powered by drummer Rick Woolstenhulme and transformed with the addition of bassist-singer Bryce Soderberg. When asked what kind of music can be found on Lifehouse’s third album (simply titled Lifehouse), Jason Wade pauses and says, “the kind of music I like to write. That’s one of the great things about having done a couple of records. I don’t second-guess myself anymore. When I’m writing, I’m not trying to please everyone. My first question is: Do I like it?”

Wade began writing songs around the time of that primal upheaval, and the craft is what sustains him to this day. “I write as much as possible, all the time,” he says. “I love writing. It’s my favorite part of all this.”

“I grew up not really listening to much music,” he points out. “But my mom turned me on to the Beatles, and they changed my life. I became obsessed with them. How can you not be? They’re the best of the best.” Delving deeper into the pop pantheon, he discovered the works of Todd Rundgren, Badfinger, the Raspberries and other masters of the form.

None of the members of Lifehouse ever attended a high school prom. So it's ironic that now they've appeared in one on TV's "Smallville" and were the resident band at a real-life San Diego prom two years.

"It was just strange because I never went to high school. I was home-schooled, so I was just basically playing my guitar and cheating from my cheat sheets," says lead singer Jason Wade. "It was just weird playing and then having people slow-dance to your music. That's really strange. I remember we played 'Something' by the Beatles, and someone came up to us afterwards and said, 'I love that Elvis song that you played.' I'm like, 'These kids today need to go buy some Beatles records.' "

And no girls even asked him to dance. "I think they just wanted us to get offstage so they could go make out afterwards," Wade adds with a laugh.

That wouldn't have happened five years ago, when one song - the power ballad-y "Hanging by a Moment," the most-played song of 2001 - propelled the then-19-year-old Wade into the hearts of teen girls everywhere. But after the success of 2000's "No Name Face," the somewhat arty 2002 effort "Stanley Climbfall" received mixed reactions. "You need both to balance you out and to really know what you have and make sure you appreciate it," Wade says.
